Die Brüder Anshuman und Vibhash Maharaj sind bekannte und virtuose Künstler von Sarod und Tabla. Sie sind die 6. Generation der berühmten Banaras Gharana aus Varanasi, der heiligen Stadt am Ganges. Sarod ist ein wunderschönes komplexes Saiteninstrument mit kraftvollen Tönen. Zusammen mit dem Rhythmus der Tabla versetzt es die Zuhörer in die faszinierende melodiöse Welt indischer Musik.

Das Musiker-Duo wurde bereits mit nationalen Preisen ausgezeichnet und tritt auf renommierten internationalen Bühnen wie dem Ghent World Music Festival auf.

The brothers Anshuman and Vibhash Maharaj are well-known and virtuoso artists of sarod and tabla. They are the 6th generation of the famous Banaras Gharana from Varanasi, the holy city on the Ganges. Sarod is a beautifully complex stringed instrument with powerful tones. Together with the rhythm of the tabla, it transports the audience into the fascinating melodious world of Indian music.
